Is there a set standard for items in a new cache?

For instance, I have seen a sheet stating that this is a geocache, and directing people to the website if found inadvertently? Also standard log sheets?

As far as items to include in a cache, the choice of items greatly depends on the size of your cache. Some caches don't have enough room for more than a logsheet. If space permits, then including a pencil, sharpener, ballpoint pen could be helpful.

There's almost no limit to what types of trinkets can be included in a cache, if size permits. What's probably more important to consider is what should not be included. THIS PAGE provides some guidance:
