Nope. alamogul is at the top of the list and as of today is at a little over 180k.

Hypothetically, if enough caches actually existed in the early days to do so, one would have needed to find an average of over 150 caches every day since the very first day of geocaching in order to be at a million today.

Im not 100% sure if they exist or not... but are there leaderboards?

If not that would be cool to see who has placed the most caches, most finds, who is the best at whatever stat?

A few other "stat"  sites the other 2/3rds looked at closed down or not updating any longer.  For example, mygeocachingprofile  still has cacher "ranking" and it was supposed to be updated this month, but the top five aren't alamogul.  So if you're really curious, niraD's link to project-gc may be a good bet.   :)

You have to upload your stats to "mygeocachingprofile.com" in order to be listed.

Another option is  cacher-stats, which provides a relatively quick state/country/world ranking and an image link that can be added to cacher profiles.

Keep in mind that numbers will vary widely based on when someone started caching. Someone with 2000 finds could've found 200 caches per year for 10 years, or 1000 caches per year for 2 years. In either case, it's a personal judgment call about which of those cachers would be the "better" cacher.

Similar things to keep in mind in terms of hides. One cache owner might have 200 hides, but not do maintenance on most of them. Meanwhile, another cache owner might have 10 hides, and each of them is well-maintained.

For many cachers, this game is not 'all about the numbers'.
