Saving filters on the website

You're not entirely wrong. The filters that you set will remain in place while you continue using the search page from the same tab. But as soon as you leave geocaching.com or close your tab or browser and the next time you visit the site, the filters get reset. Searches do produce their own unique URLs so if there are any searches including filters that you utilize regularly, you could save the URL of the results. But it would be nice to be able to save them as shortcuts to our dashboard.

Don't forget Pocket Queries. The site  directs users  to Search, but you can create and save 1000 pocket queries (ie, searches with saved filters). Pocket Query filters are different somewhat than Search filters. You don't have to run a pocket query ( you're limited to running 10 per day) but you can  create the set of filters, save, and then  "preview", and map from there.

If you want the caches, then set a day (today) to run and it'll be ready to download in under 3 minutes (under 30 seconds usually ).
