Best handheld GPS in bright sunlight?

It's often hard to see the map on certain GPS units when in direct sunlight. Which models provide the best bright displays in sunlight?

I'm considering an upgrade. I'm looking at the 64S, the Colorado 700, and the 78s. I'm trying to take one thing at a time into consideration.
My current unit is a 60cx, and it's not bad, but it's not exactly easy to see the map in bright light.

They are ALL great in direct sunlight including the 60cx.  They are reflective screen.  The more sunlight the better.  I suspect you are looking at it the wrong way.

As to comparing those units, the 78 and 64 are the same thing with different buttons.  The 700 is a completely different unit, with a substantially larger, higher resolution screen.

Are the 64s and the 78s really internally identical? Looking at the online specs, the 64s allows 5000 waypoints in the unit itself, while the 78s only allows 2000. The 64s has 4 GB internal memory, while the 78s is only 1.7 GB.

You were asking about the screens.  They have the same screens.   The 62 and 78 are the same as they came out in the same era.

The 64 is newer so has a few extras like Glonass, bluetooth (that does nothing) and more memory.  All the screens 62/64/78 are the same as the 60 series.

You need to look at them in person.  Relying on internet opinions is a waste of time.
