nealphillips
How do I transfer to the device. Garmin doesn't recognize it with either Mozilla or Safari. Don't want to eat my data but the iPhone works fine. How do you transfer lists? Locations? what the heck is a LOC file? More questions than answers. Quote Link to comment

Red90
You need to make sure the USB mode setting in System is set to mass transfer mode. When you hook it up to the computer, it should show up as a drive. You can then put GPX files on to it. Either manually to the Garmin/GPX directory with individual GPX files or pocket queries OR using the "Send to Garmin" feature in the lists and use Garmin's Express program. See 1:50 for the Mass Storage mode. Edited January 16, 2018 by Red90 1 Quote Link to comment
_Mooch_
did you manage to get this sorted? I'm having problems with the plugin downloading into safari. Just won't open Quote Link to comment
Red90
The communicator plugin does not work anymore. You need to send from a list to Garmin Express. Quote Link to comment
Mineral2
Geocaches are just .gpx files that get installed in the /Garmin/Garmin/GPX folder. As a premium member, you can download the gpx file (right next to the "send to gps" button) and save it directly into the GPX folder on your eTrex. You can also use pocket queries to bulk load caches from an area. The only downside to the eTrex 10 is the limited number of caches it can handle. But otherwise you don't need the "send to gps" button anymore. Quote Link to comment
