+edexter
Does GSAK work on Chromebooks? I need to replace my laptop and am looking at inexpensive options which will allow me to use GSAK . Any suggestions welcome. Thanks, edexter Quote Link to comment
Keystone
I moved this thread from the Geocaching Topics forum. I also encourage the OP to check the GSAK forums, which are filled with helpful, targeted advice for that API partner application. Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
I'm pretty sure the answer is no. GSAK has always been a Windows program, and I doubt Chromebooks have the ability to run Windows apps. (Or am I wrong?) Having moved from a Garmin to a full-featured Android caching app, I've learned to live without GSAK. Quote Link to comment

Chromebooks run a Linux-based OS, and are very limited in terms of what extra software they can run. Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
That I knew, but I thought there might've been a solution with virtual machinery. A quick bit of googling around (I was curious) told me that, yes it seems to be possible, but the geek factor goes up to 11. It's not an out-of-the-box solution by any means. Short answer: no.
