+ZeldasPinguin
Hi everybody, I bought a Garmin etrex 20x and wanted to download caches using the Garmin communicator plugin. I've tried Forefox, Chrome, Edge, IE, each Browser telling me that the plugin is no longer supported. Are there other options to save the cache on the GPS device? Thanks a lot! Quote Link to comment
+HHL
...The Garmin Communicator still works: FirefoxESR 52.4.0 (32-Bit) | Garmin Communicator 4.1.0.1-signed Hans Quote Link to comment
+Red90
There is a new method. See here: Download the latest version of Garmin Express. Search for geocaches you want to find. Add those caches to a list. Visit My Lists. Select Send to Garmin in the (...) menu. Unplug and go geocaching! 1 Quote Link to comment
+Mineral2
I see you're a premium member. The answer is an astounding YES. The communicator plugin only let you load caches one at a time. If you still want to do it the slow way, you can use the GPX button and save the file in the GPX folder on your eTrex. However, Pocket Queries let you load up to 1000 at a time and are way more efficient to use. You just drop the GPX files directly onto your device in the GPX folder and go. You can also pair pocket queries with a cache database program such as GSAK (windows) or iCaching (mac) to bulk load and manage the geocaches on your Garmin. None of these methods require the use of the communicator plugin. Quote Link to comment
