+rragan
The developer console in Chrome reported this warning when I loaded a cache page. GC7D48G_trump-my-knowledge-puerto-rico:1 The certificate used to load https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7D48G_trump-my-knowledge-puerto-rico uses an SSL certificate that will be distrusted in an upcoming release of Chrome. Once distrusted, users will be prevented from loading this resource. See https://g.co/chrome/symantecpkicerts for more information. Hopefully this can be remedied Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
Sure, the CO can specify "https://" in front of the URL for the image containing the squiggly signature, which is (oddly) hosted at slate.com. (Firefox reports the issue somewhat differently...) Edited November 28, 2017 by Viajero Perdido Quote Link to comment

Maybe there's some type of security option in the browser that I am neglecting to activate. Quote Link to comment
+Viajero Perdido
Click the lock icon, just left of the URL. It says, Connection is not secure, suggests part of page isn't secure, possibly images. Then right-click some whitespace, View Page Info, Media tab, click the Address heading to sort by address. The single http (not https) item shows up at the top. That signature hosted at slate.com. And slate.com will serve up that image with https; I checked. Pilot CO error, but a pretty obscure one EDIT: ...though it's possible the CO's issue is something completely different. Edited November 29, 2017 by Viajero Perdido Quote Link to comment

+Viajero Perdido
Skimming through the for-more-info link the OP provided, it looks like issue is Groundspeak's use of Thawte for its SSL certificate, which has been sloppy around security, and Google is being proactive about blacklisting certs from that issuer. Something like that. In which case, it sounds like Groundspeak needs to take action soon. (The glitch I mentioned is completely different, and would be minor in comparison.) Quote Link to comment
