Message Centre

When and why did the message centre format change?  Click on "message the owner" takes you to the message centre but then you have to remember the exact spelling of the CO name and Cache name.  I feel the old system was better suited for guys with a weak memory like mine.

Another problem I have with it is that it doesn't email me when I have a message. If someone is looking for my cache and they message me 95% of the time I will respond within min to help them out.  Now I don't get a email and don't see it until later when I go on the computer.   To late to help.

I assume it's just broken. But, yeah, I tried to use it earlier today and had the same problem: not only is the message not preloaded with the information pointing to the cache -- which is, after all, the whole point -- but even the CO isn't set up as the recipient. Seems like something that should have been noticed in unit testing...

There was an update to the message center on October 30th, see release note. There are a few known problems, e.g. regarding the lost owner name.
