Connect your GPS to a computer via-USB. Then you will access your GPS like any external disk.

Search for any folder called "GPX" or "GGZ".

Now you can delete any file you like.

You can also install Garmin Base Camp in your computer and manage your GPS with it.

Go for the GGZ folder and delete the *.ggz file. There are too many caches preloaded to get them in GPX files. GGZ files are said to be able to have up to 4000000 caches in them.

This is correct.

 

I do not suggest just randomly deleting files if you do not  know what they are. The pre-loaded geocaches will not be in any GPX folder, nor will they be in a GPX file, they will be in GGZ format in the GGZ folder.

It should be called preload.ggz

Thanks for the tip. I made a backup on preload.ggz before i removed that file. The file was over 300 mb. Now it's just the way I want it.

Preloaded caches are useless anyway as they contain caches that are already disabled or archived and you don't have new ones.
