"draft" logs posted directly

So as mentioned elsewhere, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to correct the problem of corrected coords not showing.  After finding a few today I went to look at my drafts and found that what I had logged on the app had posted directly to the cache pages.  Why?? I like to post to drafts with just a few words to jog my memory (and maybe include spoilers for me) and write later.  Now I can't do that - didn't something like this happen with the old app?  I know I stopped using 'field notes' because of this.  Is this supposed to be better?  If so, why are they 'drafts'?

The default option is to post the logs directly, so if you want to use the "drafts" feature, there's a selection slider that you need to click on.  You likely lost your settings when you uninstalled and reinstalled.
