vikivaki
Hi all, Me and my team have created a great new cache. Unfortunately we created the cache description in MS word. When posting the cache I discovered that the description should be html. To avoid a lot of extra work, I created 7 screenshots of the word documents and uploaded them in jpeg format. Then I tried to paste them into the long or short description with the correct html code: <img src=”https://www.geocaching.com/seek/image.aspx?imgid=4482522” /> No picture is shown in the description. What am I doing wrong here ? Quote Link to comment
Keystone
1. For that example, click on the image and then capture the URL that's unique to the image: https://s3.amazonaws.com/gs-geo-images/43670a97-6244-494b-87b7-0593c5a4cc31.jpg 2. Since this is not a website bug or feature suggestion, I've moved your thread to the "How do I....?" forum. Quote Link to comment
vikivaki
I inserted the suggested link but it is not working. Quote Link to comment
Keystone
That's likely due to your HTML, not the URL for the image. See this Help Center article for guidance. Your image displayed just fine when I used that URL on one of my test cache pages. Also, you should disable your listing and not submit it again for review until you've resolved your HTML and image display issues. Otherwise, your reviewer will be very confused! Finally, please note that if information needed out in the field to find the cache is contained in images rather than text, some users will not be able to hunt for your cache.
