+travelcompass Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 (edited) I pressed the button too hard and the button fell off. Does anyone have a picture of the microswitch that is soldered on the circuit board inside a Garmin Dakota 10 or 20? I would like to know which part fell off. Thanks Edited October 4, 2017 by travelcompass Quote
+Team Microdot Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 I don't think it's a microswitch. I suspect it's a comparatively low-cost momentary button similar to the ones found in the old Atari joysticks Take a look at this image It's probably not a user servicable part. Quote
+Red90 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Just open it up and look. They are all simple enough to work on. Quote
+travelcompass Posted October 11, 2017 Author Posted October 11, 2017 (edited) Ok, I managed to get an Etrex 20 and believe that etrex uses the same switch as Dakota. Does anyone know what the switch is called and where I can get it from? (I did find a similar switch available from Russia on eBay, but prefer to find something in North America if possible) Eric Edited October 11, 2017 by travelcompass Quote
