Private Message to Category Officers

Today I was writing up a waymark, and felt the need to explain something in a private message on the waymark page (the box where you can communicate with the category officers). Later, I found something that made my message incorrect, so I wanted to edit it. But it seems, unless I'm missing something, once you save the typed message, even though the waymark has NOT been submitted, you can never edit or delete it. Is this correct? Can I edit it?

That's right.  If you change the message to the reviewer, you have to make some tiny change in the Waymark itself to allow it to be saved.  Just a space or something will do.
