+die_schnoeldner
Hi there, We recognised that the Caches in France still show up with the old Regions that have been merged by the beginning of 2016. Are there plans to implement these updates? Thanks die_Schnoeldner Quote Link to comment
Frau Potter
Thank you for the question. Yes, we are aware of the changes to regions within France. We do plan to make an update to our database, but don't have a timeline yet. We thank you for your patience. Cindy / Frau Potter Quote Link to comment

Cindy / Frau Potter While you're at it, maybe it's time to fix the issue with Netherland Antilles, Sint Maarten, and St. Martin. The Netherland Antilles dissolved into separate countries in 2010 yet all of the caches in Sint Maarten are still shown as Netherland Antilles Quote Link to comment
+sTeamTraen
There are two problems with the Netherlands Antilles: One is that that entity doesn't exist any more and so all the caches with that "country" should be edited to whichever Dutch-speaking area (I won't go into more political detail than that, it's complicated) they are in. The other is that in the specific case of the island of St. Martin all of the caches are listed under "St. Martin" with no distinction between the French and Dutch sides. The caches on this island are all reviewed by the Dutch reviewers. Hopefully GS will add this to the wishlist for the next international sorting-out. Although the Netherlands Antilles doesn't exist any more there are still some caches that were placed before 2008 when there still was a Netherlands Antilles. Should those caches be changed to either Sint Maarten or St. Martin" or should they retain the country designation they had when they were placed? A few \ things would need to be done. GS would need to add Sint Maarten to their "official" list of countries. Netherlands Antilles should be removed as an option for selecting the country when hiding a cache. All of the caches currently on the island would need to be looked and the country designation changed if it is not correct. There are currently 23 caches designated as St. Martin and only two of them are actually in Sint Maarten. There are 17 caches currently designated as Netherlands Antilles. Most are on St. Martin island but there are a few in Curacao and Bonaire as well. We're only talking about looking at 40 or so listings so even manually looking at each one wouldn't take much time. Was just a question as we travel to the Bretagne and recognized the difference while planning the route down there. Thanks die_Schnoeldner Quote Link to comment
