+Dora the Explorer!
I am interested in doing this cache. https://coord.info/GC6CJC1 in the most recent log there is a track log. https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=19oarG-_uI-mLMxj9SQCTog2mHKo&ll=-28.18613490042294%2C152.50885900000003 I would like to know how do I download it and view on my phone and Gps. Have tried wikiloc but not having much success. I have a Garmin Montana and an android phone. Quote Link to comment
+StefandD
When I go to the second link and click the hamburger menu (the three dots on top of each other), I get the option to download the KML version of that track. KML can be imported into Basecamp, which can transfer it to your Montana. It can also export it to GPX for your phone. Where the GPX must be placed on your smartphone depends on the app you use. +JohnCNA
Importing the KML into Basecamp and then exporting to your GPS/Garmin/GPX folder will work fine. Locus Pro (on android) will import and display GPX track files. It will also record and export tracks. There are others, I'm sure. But Locus is the only app I'm familiar with that combines functionality for hiking, biking, etc AND geocaching in a single app. Quote Link to comment
