Syn
I havent looked yet...but I am hoping there are caches in the downtown portland area.... I am thinking that a bunch of us should meet up downtown ...that way there are caches within walking distance so noone drives... and for everycache we find...we go into a bar and have a shot of yager and a couple of beers. of course we would hit a bar before we start to get a good buzz going.. or maybe we could hit caches and bars on the max line Quote Link to comment
White Rabbit
Our cache in Downtown (we check on it whilst on our drunken hikes, so you should be alright): http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=14292 Other Downtown caches: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=17493 http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=16450 Quote Link to comment

It's a virtual cache..but you get the idea... Oh.. and it's super close to the MAX line... -fractal -=-=-=-=-=-=- N 45° 30.ish W 122° 58.ish Quote Link to comment

+fractal
That Hashing thing actually sounds pretty fun... I'm sure there's a way to incorporate a GPS into it...but you wouldn't have to... -fractal Quote Link to comment
White Rabbit
Well, we've done a few of our caches while drunk. Some of which we had to go the next day to find. The main problem is that we drink at night, so technically we were drunk and caching at night which makes it very difficult to stay on track. It's still really fun, we found our first cache under the influence of alcohol and we had a blast doing it. +makaio
WR, you said you prefer remaining anoymous to other geocachers. Now we know why! Back in my younger days, hashing had a completely different meaning Quote Link to comment

White Rabbit
LOL, well, that may be part of the reason, but we just like to play the role of the stealthy, mysterious cachers. 'pdxblues' is the only Geocacher that knows who we are and what we look like. We went to check our cache and it was looted and left empty. We were going to go back the next day and restock it, but we noticed pdxblues was looking for it, so we went to the car and grabbed a notepad and stuff from our 'just incase we want to place a cache' cache in our backseat. When we got back, we hid and let them find it, once they did, we just walked over and gave them the log. I am the Rabbit King, I can do anything Quote Link to comment
soup
Back in November in WA, I found a group of guys going on a GeoPub run. It was a 5 cache/5 pub event. They would hit a cache, then hit a pub, hit a cache, hit a pub... etc. It sounded like fun. I had forgotten about it until this post. That would be a fun event, since there are many close in caches around PDX. As long as there is a designated GeoPrude to drive these GeoLushes around. Very Interesting.... Oregone? White Rabbit
That does sound like fun, but there's only two of us, so one of us would have to stay sober to drive. We don't go out after drinking any more because there aren't any within walking distance from us really. Geopubbing....that's funny. I am the Rabbit King, I can do anything Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
So why not make a series of Drunk Caches. "Walk the White Line" A virtual cache. "Blow the breathalizer" Send in your pic with a blood alcahol above legal drunk. "Slammer" Have your friend photograph you in the slammer with you holding your DUI Citation. ok maybe not that one. "Drunken Come On Lines" Get photographed right when you are slapped... Some other ideas. This cache is hidden in the Porcelin Bowl of Worship Pub Crawl, if you ain't crawling, you ain't gonna find it. Quote Link to comment
