Can I put out a Copy Tag?

Both of my TB's have gone missing but I have the copy tags and was thinking of using them as replacements for the originals.  Is that OK to do?

Sure. 

If you're worried about them going bye-bye again, you can even use that code (marker, burned in, embroidered...)  on a backpack, hiking staff, hat,  anything really, and use it for Discover logs for folks you meet on the trail, or at Events. 

 - It (should) stay safely with you that way.

Thanks cerberus, good advice and great suggestion about making objects trackable by using the code, I just might try that!

If your COPY tag says "KEEP ME" you might not want to send it out into the world.

Ah, yes, good point.  I think I will try writing the code on a keychain and sending that out as a TB.  That way, if the TB gets lost, I can just use the code angain on some other item.  Saves replacing the TB tags themselves.

I like this advice! I haven't yet ventured into the world of TBs. This may be a way to start. Thank you.
