+Gorbygorbachov
When you hide a cache, there is a panel on the cache page for entering in the title of your cache. The panel is much wider than what Geocaching.com allows. I think we need to be able to have much longer titles. Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
I wouldn't care to see that at all, thanks. I'm still using a GPSr and find two-lines of cache title really annoying. Can't believe many are happy to read all of that on small phone screens either. This thread reads "cache description", and that's what some of these crazy cache titles seem to be. - Maybe meant for folks who only read the title. Quote Link to comment
+CAVinoGal
... I think we need to be able to have much longer titles. Much longer titles? When I can't even read the full titles on my device (in some cases) now? I don't think so. The title is just that, a title. It should be (IMO) something catchy, maybe cute, maybe a hint as to the hide, a play on words perhaps, but something short, like 4-5 words. Anything more than that should be in the description. That just makes sense to me. The title piques my interest, the description hooks me, and I go find it. Quote Link to comment
+palmetto
On a Geocaching.com cache report or edit page, the cache title pane accepts 49 characters and spaces. Short description pane accepts 500 characters and spaces (any html commands used count) Long description pane is huge. I've never found a limit. Some devices used by geocachers won't display 49 character title, cutting it short. Quote Link to comment

And what's almost as bad are series placed with the same first words. One never knows which cache is which without digging into the description. Quote Link to comment
