Placement before approval?

Hi there. Had a question about placing caches before they get approved. Im worried that it will get approved and I won't have it on the spot before someone finds it. What if I'm sleeping and it becomes active?

Do I place it out there when waiting on approval or wait till it actually does get approved?

Do I just put it out there and pick it back up if it doesn't get the go ahead? Is this how you guys do it?

When do u date the beginning of the log. With no idea of when it will be approved or not im wondering if you wait to date it until it gets ok'd. what if I date it and it gets approved 7 days later. Or I date it and it doesn't get approved. I don't want to waste logs.

Thanks

You absolutely must have the cache in place before you submit it. If for some reason it does not get published, you would have to go back and get it, or move it.

I don't put any date on any of my logs. The FTF will date it as of their Found It date.

Ok thanks for all the info guys.

It's only a few minutes away so I'll run out now and get it in place.

There is nothing more aggravating than seeing a newly published cache, going to find it and then discovering that it is not yet in position. This happened to me last month!
