+GrandpaGene
I just returned from a trip from Baltimore, Maryland to Aruba and back. On the way back I managed to log two finds in the morning before leaving Aruba and one find in Baltimore when I returned. Today I went to log that as an additional "find" for a Virginia challenge cache called "500 Miles," which I had previously claimed twice, first fro a flight to Aruba and second for driving 500 miles between a small city in eastern Kentucky to a similar place in western Missouri. I quickly learned that is not allowed. I know of many others who have claimed certain challenge caches several times - things like "One Busy Day," or "At least one find a day for every day of a month" or things like that. Obviously a state DeLoren challenge can happen only once - if ever in a few states, but for those that can be achieved more than once, why can Groundspeak not make a change that a Challenge Cache that COULD be achieved more than once should gain a smilie for each achievement? +cerberus1
Did you happen to notice the Logging Rule Changes Announcement in March that no longer allows double logging (after May this year)? Worth noting is the sentence, "Geocaching HQ will not be making exceptions to these logging rules for any specific caches". Quote Link to comment
+noncentric
If a cacher finds and signs the log for a challenge cache, then they can claim a smiley if they fulfill the challenge cache's requirements. If the cacher fulfills the challenge cache requirements multiple times, then that's great for them, but many would argue that it's not an additional 'find'. You may want Groundspeak to make special arrangements for challenge caches, but I don't see that that would ever happen. I think it's more likely that there would be a complete prohibition of challenge caches before they receive any 'special treatment'. Troubles with challenge caches already led to a moratorium on new challenge caches that lasted more than a year and ended with additional restrictions on what types of challenge caches could be created. +frinklabs
This could be facilitated by a system that decouples the container find from the completion of challenge requirements. The former only happens once but the latter can recur, as shown by the OP. Quote Link to comment

+GrandpaGene
Well, no, or I would not have bothered to try to do the challenge again. Quote Link to comment
