UPDATE: We are about half way through our trip. We are currently in Harlowton, Montana, if passing through the surrounding area from Roundup, Montana west to Helena BEWARE: Do not drink the water.

We have taken more than 10,000 pictures so far...Beware officers when we return as you are going to be busy approving our new submissions. We have found some very interesting new categories and some unexpected surprises. Those are the most fun to find.

We traveled 404 km or 251 miles just to get the only Z Welcome Sign in Montana. Zortman, Montana

Didn't realize Montana was that close to Mexico! LOL Seriously, keep having fun and we look forward to seeing the waymarks you're about to bombard us with!

Hmmm. Roundup (from Monsanto) and do not drink the water. Interesting juxtaposition.

It would take a rancher to catch that!

OK - Officers in the aforementioned categories can relax a bit (but not too much ;^)) - we're back - 5152.5 kliks later. We averaged about 3.5 pix per klik on the trip.

While traveling I made a few observations, primarily about Montana:

1: Cattle outnumber people by about 147 to 1.

2: Montana possesses sufficient wind power to power the entire continent.

3: The wind will always be against you.

4: The state is about half a bubble off plumb (or level, as the case may be). See the photo.

5: Waymarking is around 99% about civilization. Where there is no civilization (and this happens a lot in Montana) there are precious few Waymarks to be had.
