LK313
Hi all, Apologies that this is slightly off topic potentially. I am completely new to geocaching and maps etc, thanks to my partner! Anyway, I'm trying to create a poster of where we had our first date (I know, cheese). I wanted to use coordinates instead of the name of the place, because he's hugely into hiking, geocaching, maps etc! How could I round these coordinates down into a slightly nicer number, but it be the exact same place - is it even doable? I've seen other ideas like this and their coordinates on the examples aren't as lengthy! Thanks in advance! 51° 14' 19.2372'' N 2° 59' 35.9808'' W Quote Link to comment
+lee737
How about: N 51° 14.321' W 2° 59.600' or N 51.2387° W 2.9933° Quote Link to comment
+niraD
Or even: N 51° 14' 19.2" W 2° 59' 36.0" Since a tenth of a second (0.1") is about 10 feet (or less), which is about the accuracy you can expect from consumer GPS equipment on a good day. Quote Link to comment
