+bubble_luscious Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 I am planning a barley mill reunion date set for April 19th at the Olympic Club in Centralia. This event will be open to everyone. It is also Slinger's 30th birthday...lol(had to throw that in) I hope to have the event page approved by tomorrow. Let me know if you can attend. <b Take time out of your day to love yourself. b> Quote
+Quantum Mechanic Posted April 8, 2003 Posted April 8, 2003 Wish I could, but I have to work the night before. Would love to meet the person that is married to slinger! -Quantum Mechanics: The dreams stuff is made of.- Quote
+bubble_luscious Posted April 8, 2003 Author Posted April 8, 2003 well ya know QM I have met her before and she isn't all that she's cracked up to be...LOL I was really bummed when I didn't get to go to opening of Dr. I's radioactive box. Oh well. fuming with jealousy <b Take time out of your day to love yourself. b> Quote
Moun10Bike Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 Doh! We're headed the wrong direction (east) that weekend (that's Easter weekend). Happy 30th anyway, Frank! It's not so bad, really! Quote
+Team JOYSON Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 Really? Where you heading Moun10Bike? We're going to be up in Leavenworth for the weekend (No guys, not the prison). What time's the event? We'll be heading up Saterday morning & back Sunday night (ick). Doubtful that we'd be able to make it, but you never now. "And then Trogdor smote the Kerrek, and all was laid to burnination." Quote
Moun10Bike Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 We're just headed to Spokane and Coeur d'Alene (home of my parents and my wife's parents, respectively). There are some good caches in the Leavenworth area, especially if the snow levels are down and you can get to them. Boundary Butte has some awesome views, although I see from recent logs that there is some construction going on in the area that might hinder access. Quote
+slinger91 Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 Once it's approved, here is a link to the event cache: Barley Mill Reunion Hope to see old faces and new! Quote
+Wander Lost Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 We'll be down that direction for Easter so we'll try to drop by. We're all here, because we're not 'all there'. Quote
+bazzle Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 Well since buddhists are not big on easter , I will be going nowhere. But Centralia sounds like as good a place as any. Never actually stopped there when heading north to the emerald city... I do have a good easter funny though HERE My mind not only wanders... Sometimes it leaves completely... **Namaste** Quote
+Bodoni Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 <snif> I can't make the reunion -- although I'd like to. Marigold will be singing at Earth Chant, so that's where I'll be. Quote
+dasein Posted April 9, 2003 Posted April 9, 2003 Sounds like fun, but doubtful that we'd be able to make it. You just never know though... will you be posting coordinates for those who haven't been there before? Slinger is awesome--one of our favorite caching 'buddies.' Doug and I will be in the area for 3 nights over Oyster Stampede weekend; we'd love to hook up with you two then, if possible. Regardless, we're gonna find a BUNCH of you guys' caches! We are certainly looking forward to it! --laurak of dasein Temporarily French Polynesia's most prolific geocachers! Quote
+oregone Posted April 15, 2003 Posted April 15, 2003 Obviously, i'm there. But i'm mooching off of someone for a place to stay, because this weekend at the coast totally killed my checking account. In a perfect world, i'd just drive the 80 miles home afterwards, but i know me pretty well, so i know that i'll probably have about four too many oly stubbies to be in any condition to drive. at any rate, i'm telling the waitress at the following morn's breakfast that it's my birthday because i love free pie with a candle on it. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed Quote

Sassquatch Posted April 17, 2003 Posted April 17, 2003 Why, you young punk slinger. I just had my 40th you whipper-snapper. Sorry I can't make it though. Sounds like a lot of fun. Watch out for yeti on the hunt. I know a few in that area. Quote
+Wander Lost Posted April 17, 2003 Posted April 17, 2003 For those of you attending the BM reunion I think you should take a look at this public service announcement before Saturday. We're all here, because we're not 'all there'. Quote

+bubble_luscious Posted April 21, 2003 Author Posted April 21, 2003 Just a quick thanks to everyone that attended. It was great to see some new faces in with the "old" ones...LOL The cache that took place later was great fun. I wonder what the people who lived on that block were thinking? Take time out of your day to love yourself. Quote
soup Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 I am SO bummed that I didnt get to attend, but driving from Salem to Centralia, back to Salem, then to Hillsboro in one day would be a little excessive for me. I wish ya a very happy birthday, and look forward to any stories and/or pix from the adventures. C What's the difference between roast beef and pea soup? Anyone can roast beef. Quote
+flir~girl Posted April 21, 2003 Posted April 21, 2003 Well....if we had known, we would have just picked you up. We left from Eugene. This just wasn't something to be missed. We're planning on taking bail money with us next time, just in case. Had a great time...Thanks again!!! f~g and PonyRacer "Forty-two!" yelled Loonquawl. "Is that all you've got to show for seven and a half million years' work?" Quote
