+VTMountainBiker
I've seen some older forum topics on people having coins minted by companies and then selling them somehow and raising money for there Boy Scout Troop to go on a trip. I was wondering if my Troop could do that since we're trying to raise money to go out west hiking and visit Yellowstone? But I have no idea where to start, could anyone that knows more about Geocoins, minting them or selling them give me a little explanation on how I could do that or give me a starting point because my Troop is pretty into geocaching and I'd be a fun way to raise money. Thanks for any help you can offer it's appreciated as I'm new to geocoins. Quote Link to comment

+drneal
your first mission would be to design a coin (hopefully you have some idea of what you would like your coin to look like,) or hire a geocoin designer, and decide how big you want the coin to be, and how many you want to have made you'll need some start up money to pay for the manufacture of the coins...here's the hard part...probably $800-$1000 (there is a list of geocoin manufacturers in the trackables section (click on play on the geocaching.com page, trackables , click next on geocoin home, and finally click on geocoin manufacturers . pick a manufacturer you feel comfortable with (do some asking around...i have a couple of favorites i'd be glad to share with you if you message me.) Facebook offers a lot of geocoin related pages...a good place to reach out and let people know about the coin. ILYK ILYL Quote Link to comment

BlueRajah
I made one for the BSA years ago, for our local council. They required BSA license for the seller. That limited me to Oakcoins, and Coins and Pins at the time. Quote Link to comment
