Master_Dirt
Just returned to Geocaching account today after being away for awhile. In a cache file @ geocaching.com, I'm selecting some caches and saving them as .GPX from within that cache's page. However, I'm totally unable to find where the .GPX files are being stored on my computer. Not in any of the USER paths that I have been able to find. Anyone help me out here? TIA Quote Link to comment
Die Nemos
Hi, this depends on your Browser where the files are stored or what directory you have chosen. When you are using Windows, try a search for "*.gpx" in the Explorer on C: or other directories. This may list all gpx files. Quote Link to comment
Team DEMP
Which operating system and browser are you using? Some show the new download at the bottom of the browser window with a drop down to open in folder. Some browsers have a menu item labeled Downloads and that allows the recent downloads. See the following which might also help - http://m.wikihow.com/Choose-Where-a-Download-is-Saved Quote Link to comment
Master_Dirt
Misconstrued Guess I didn't explain that right. When I go onto GC and I've selected a cache. Within the page for that cache I'm given options to 'download' LOC waypoint file, GPX file or Send to My GPS. All is good, it just wasn't saving the .gpx files when I selected them. Thanks to your replies I worked a little harder at finding them. They just weren't there. Thanks all. Quote Link to comment
rragan
The download file does not have a .gpx extension. Try searching for a file with the GC code. Quote Link to comment
Michaelcycle
The download file does not have a .gpx extension. Try searching for a file with the GC code. All the files I've downloaded by clicking the "gpx file" button have the .gpx extension appended when I check my "download" list Quote Link to comment
