+Pix_Z
I found a TB, but when I searched for it, nothing came up. I am talking about the # that is printed on the TB. Quote Link to comment
+cerberus1
Have you tried switching 0 (zero) for O (oh), l (L) for 1, that kinda thing? Quote Link to comment

+kunarion
There aren't any characters that can be mistaken for a different letter or number. Where did you find the TB? I haven't found logs on the recent caches by a person who placed it that there was a TB problem, nor a log from you where you mention taking a TB that you can't track. And so it goes. It's possible that someone placed a brand new TB and hasn't activated it, and that it's not in the database. I've found a bunch of coins and TBs where letters that seem not confusing are confusing. A "C" that looks exactly like a "G", for example. More detective work is needed. But on the Forums, it's no good to publish the Tracking Number for all to see, and therefore readers can't do a whole lot. We don't know which cache it was in, what was attached, the condition of the tag, which other TBs are listed in the cache, if there were any recent logs that may provide a hint, nor what the tracking number is (and that number should be kept secret for obvious reasons). Maybe you could contact the Help Center. They may require specifics. Edited October 18, 2016 by kunarion Quote Link to comment

With quite a few not mentioning swag swaps, cache condition, or anything other than the distance finds are on their device anymore, there's really not much to go on... Quote Link to comment
Pup Patrol
There aren't any characters that can be mistaken for a different letter or number. It is a set of dog tags? It says "trackable at geocaching.com"? Which cache did you find it in? Just a thought: could you send a photo of it, with the tracking number, to Eartha, the moderator of this forum? Perhaps she could help. B. Edited October 18, 2016 by Pup Patrol Quote Link to comment
