+4Swans Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I'm trying to create my first cartridge. I have tested it in the emulator and it appears to work except for 1 zone. When I went to edit a few things, I found that the timeline has now disappeared. The map displays fine and the timeline appears for a brief split second and then seems to hide behind the map. How to I bring it back to the front so I can rearrange my zones? I am on a Mac (OS 10.7.5) I've tried logging out and logging back in, using a different browser (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) and even using a different device (Kindle Fire). Nothing has worked and I don't know what else to try. I also tried both builder versions http://Wherigo.rangerfox.com and http://kit.wherigofoundation.com/Builder/. Help! Quote
Ranger Fox Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I've been trying different things since yesterday to reproduce your issue. I don't have access to a Mac, so I've been testing on a few computers using different versions of Firefox, Chrome, and IE. It has been years since Apple produced a PC version of their Safari browser. The last time I updated Kit was in June, by the way. Both URLs you cited point to the same site. The original URL is Wherigo.rangerfox.com. Later, I added it as a subdomain to the WF site to see if I had the right configuration prior to my work on a content delivery network for images. Either URL is fine and will always point to the same version. I'm hesitant to attempt implementing a fix until I can reproduce what you're seeing. I want to make sure what I change fixes the problem and doesn't break something for others. I'm going to try to see if I can get hold of an iPad or something at work. I know one is floating around, but I don't know if I can get my hands on it. Either way, I'll try out some creative solutions this evening as I don't think I'm working late again tonight. If I can't reproduce what you're seeing, I just might have to make a tweak and ask you if things work out. A question for you: if the map hides the timeline, does the map then span completely from the left of the browser window all the way to the right? Quote
+4Swans Posted September 8, 2016 Author Posted September 8, 2016 Yes, The map spanned left to right. Below the map, I could see a tiny sliver of brown indicating that the timeline was there. And do make this more bizarre...everything appears fine (so far) today! I will let you know if it hiccups again. Quote
Ranger Fox Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Huh. Go figure. I'd hate to wonder if it was due to something Google Maps pushed out because I have a higher regard for their testing. Well, do let me know if that happens again. Quote
