+Mama<3Bear Posted August 31, 2016 Posted August 31, 2016 I tried to search for an answer before I posted and couldn't seem to find any answers, so here I go. I am a Premium member and have the free app for iPhone. I have four search options available to me. I am able to search by Location, Geocahe, Trackable, and GeoTour. If I solve a mystery, how can I enter the GPS coordinates? Or do I need to download a separate GPS app to be able to do that? Also, it would be helpful if I could search for a geocache by name too. Any thoughts? Quote

Any thoughts? Instead of "coordinates", think "waypoints". You should always check the Help Center first. http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php Help Center → Apps → iPhone Geocaching® app 1.5. How Do I Add a Waypoint? http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=721 For puzzle caches, do you enter the corrected coordinates on the cache page? Do you mean "search by name" on the app? If you want to search for a cache by its name, use the old search function: https://www.geocaching.com/seek/ B. Quote

Pup Patrol Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Look what I just found: Help Center → Finding a Geocache → Searching for a Geocache 2.14. How to Enter Solved Coordinates for Mystery Caches http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=807 I had no idea that was there, or when it got published. Instructions for Updating coordinates on website and for Updating coordinates in Geocaching® app. The last item, "Automatic sync between web and Geocaching® app", says that the app will show the corrected coordinates on the map. MamaBear, do NOT feel dumb. This is not exactly "intuitive" stuff. B. Quote
+Mama<3Bear Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 That's excellent! Thanks Pup Patrol. I didn't know the app has that feature. Normally, when i silver a mystery, I enter the coordinates in my GPSr. What a great find! Quote
+acachebox Posted October 9, 2016 Posted October 9, 2016 Or do I need to download a separate GPS app to be able to do that? Any thoughts? I have this same question of just loading coordinates into my I Phone. I am not dealing with a mystery cache and the examples listed above do not seam to be available on my phone. Quote

I am not dealing with a mystery cache and the examples listed above do not seam to be available on my phone. Try search for a Multi instead. After you hit Start, you will see "MORE" above three dots. Choose it and you can create or manage Waypoints... that you can use for any purposes not necessarily related to a given Multi. Quote
