Error loading a saved cartridge

Help! I started creating a cartridge, saved it and when I tried to open it I got the error message in the screenshot I included as an attachment to this post. Can someone tell me what's the problem? Thanks.

That could happen with the Groundspeak Builder. Perhaps you have a wrong character (like " or ') in one of your names or descriptions. Think about the changes you made since the last load/save.

 

Groundspeak Wherigo Builder have some heavy bugs, so it is much better to use one of the alternative builders like Earwigo, Urwigo ir Wherigo\\kit.

You need to apply this fix. You have a 64-bit version of Windows and tried to open an existing cartridge file. The thread with this fix is pinned to the top of the forum, called "Wherigo Builder and 64-bit Windows".

I don't think, that this is the problem, because the Wherigo Builder runs (see background of error message). It is about reading an existing Lua file into the builder.

BadImageFormatException is usually the error message displayed when the 32-bit builder tries to read a lua file on a 64-bit system. To fix that, we can use CorFlags to change the 32-bit application executable to 64-bit. That's what's in the zip file in the post I linked to.
