How do I download GC to my eTrex 10?

Hi Tadpole,

I am fairly new to using my Garmin eTrex 10. I will try to help. Go to the geocaching website. Find the cache you want to download. I plug the cable that came with my unit to my laptop. Hit the "send to my GPS" button. You should see your unit listed. Click on it. The info should transfer to your Garmin.

Hope this helps some!

Simple and free method is use EasyGPS for multiple caches. Free software at EasyGPS.com.

Go to the cache page you want to download. Click on either the LOC or GPX button which will save that cache info to a file on your computer. Once you have all the caches you want in the file on your computer transfer those to the EasyGPS program. Simple click and drag. Connect your Etrex to your computer, click on the Send button, go to GPS settings and find your Etrex listed, then EasyGPS will transfer the caches to your GPS.

I use Geocaching.com. Use the Pocket Query (under Premium Member account/services), provide the criteria a need for my caches and run the query.

When I get my alert email telling me the query has run, I use the link in there to download the .gpx file to my Laptop.

I then connect my eTrex via USB and drag/drop the .gpx file into the Garmin GPX folder on the INTERNAL MEMORY on the device.

These are now accessible VIA the Navigation menu (under Geocaches) on your device.

This is of little value to the OP who is not a premium member.
