+searchjaunt
I don't seem to be able to start the app anymore. It crashes each time. I'm running version 4.5.3 on android 6.0.1 Any one else having this issue too? Quote Link to comment
+rocketgarden
We've been seeing some issues with permissions on Android 6.0 and up. By chance have you denied location/gps permissions to the app? Quote Link to comment
+searchjaunt
Location permission is indeed switched off, but when I turn it on, it switches itself off. I also get the message that the app is designed for an older android version. It looks odd to me that the app crashes on location permissions and seems to need it. Not all functionality off the app is location based (in fact not a lot). Previous versions of the app just worked find. A more user friendly message would be nice. Quote Link to comment

We're currently in the middle of upgrading to the new permission framework, which should hopefully alleviate this issue (and add more user friendly messaging =]). That should hopefully be going out in the next few weeks. In the mean time, I can only suggest you try reinstalling the app? I've never heard of permissions turning themselves off though, I'm not entirely sure what could be causing that. Quote Link to comment
+searchjaunt
I hope that you include that people can choose not to give default permissions for locations. Not the whole app need the current location and people prefer to keep their privacy and not to share their location when it's not needed. Quote Link to comment
+rocketgarden
You are correct; the aforementioned update will gracefully handle denying location permissions (or a lack of signal, etc) Quote Link to comment
+pingurus
Since the last update (4.6) the app stopped working for me. When I open it, the loading circle with a white screen just turns and turns, whiteout coming to an end. I have android 5.0. Quote Link to comment
+pingurus
De- and re- installed the app, it works now Quote Link to comment
