It seems I keep reading about sending thing to a gps thing but not an iPhone . It seems that it's very hard to find these simple geocache for me so I figured I'm forgetting to do something? +niraD Posted July 26, 2016 Share Posted July 26, 2016 Smartphones have their own data connections, so they can download geocache, map, and other data directly, via wifi or via a mobile data connection. Handheld GPS devices do not have their own data connections, so you have to use a computer with a data connection, then plug the handheld GPS device into a USB cable connected to the computer, then transfer the geocache, map, and other data first to the computer, and then to the handheld GPS device.
