curlingfan11
Steps of how to make a metal wall plate geocache. It's simple, but i'm confused of how to keep the log in, and 'hang the cache up'. Are you supposed to use 1 magnet? Quote Link to comment
+TheAuthorityFigures
Epoxy two small rare earth magnets on the backside of plate. A small zip-lock bag for small log. Can't help you with the damp log problem, I'm in Arizona. Quote Link to comment
+niraD
The better caches of this type that I've seen have had two rare-earth magnets on the back, on opposite corners, with adhesive foam pads on the remaining corners. The log is held in a ziplock bag. The heavy pill bags available at pharmacies work better than the light bead-sorting bags available at craft shops, but none of them remain waterproof. But weatherproof paper for the logs helps (e.g., the Rite in the Rain paper I print my extra log sheets on). Quote Link to comment
