I know EGH has seen this, but have you all noticed that there's a Bellingham Cache Machine on Feb. 21?

Yes, I saw that. I wish they had looked to see what else was going on that week. There is also an event over on the Peninsula thats been on the board for several weeks now. They might get better turnout if the cache machine took place the following week.

I'd put the Peninsula Cache-In on my calendar prior to this, and it'd be tough to get the family to let me leave at 4:00 a.m. and be gone all day, just before I do it again for three days in March. Wish I could do this one, but I don't see it happening.

I don't know which one to do now either. The Pennisula one will be much closer, but Cache Machines are so fun and I'm not sure we'll be able to do Vancouver.

Will have to think about this one for a while.

I see George501949 hit 700 sometime yesterday...whcih one George??? Congrats to you!

Paradise Lost bk II l. 1051, one of those evil not so evil caches. It took about 2 minutes in the dark to find it. :D:blink::):) THANKS, I'm have some fun now.

CONGRATS, GEORGE! It's funny that a cache like Paradise Lost that used to be one of the toughest around is now practically routine. That's another one of those scary realizations (sorta like feeling relieved to find a "big" Bison tube)!

Yeah, that one gave me fits when I did it. Of course the micro thing was new then.

I'm planning on heading to the peninsula if I don't have any side work going on at the time.

Going to try your luck with the Sweet 16 series? I was wondering if I was going to get any competition...

I'll probably be bringing my dog along too so that looks like it eliminates one of them. I'll probably chase one or two, but I'm not too big on micro caches as I tend to spend way too much time on the search while overthinking the clues or lack thereof.

Adena (Cache Ahead) and I tried for Geo Stumpy today. Absolutely perfect day for snowshoeing!!!!! Here is the cache page and my pics:

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...aa-0be265a32bd1

Saw a big Coyote. I might have to come back in the summer and see if the stump is on the ground. Groudn zero pointed at a partial stump...looked like itmay have broken off. We dug and dug...bottomless. Deep snow...probably ten feet or so.

Dug out several other stumps, but eventually gave up and I hit a couple of easy caches in Monroe on way home. Great day to be out there!

I am going out caching tomorrow!!!!

It may sound like a little thing, but I've only been getting about one cache a week lately. Too much work, too many responsibilities, and not enough free time.

Tomorrow Pepper and Cin are heading in to the big city. Every once in a while its good to get away from the eastside.

Where ya going?

Og

I think there are a few new ones just on the other side of the lake, and there are a few in W. Seattle and Queen Anne that we've been waiting to do (wanted a clear day for the views). It it's too cloudy for a a beautiful vista, we'll head to the north end of the city.

It sure is nice to have 250 waypoints in my GPS, plus those 250 cache pages in my smartphone. It lets me be a little less planned, a little more carefree.

I would have run into you there, but the Sweet 16 series kept me too busy. I got 14/16 done. Tomorrow I'll take a break from Sweet 16 and do the Conundrum cache. I wonder if I'll meet someone...

I can report that Pepper is still a little sore from yesterday, but in spite of it we managed to find 8 caches and hide one. ;)

It was a beautiful day for geocaching. We went over and cleaned up Queen Anne hill, found some new ones by UW, and crowned things off back on the Eastside by finding one of the evil hides by Beamin' Demon. I really really really really really really really needed to be out caching today. One day of geocaching in the sunny northwest, and I'm refreshed and relaxed.

See you all tomorrow at the WSGA meeting?

Congrats Pepper!!!! What was the big find on?

Well, I didn't find any boxes today, but I put a few out for you all! First two are micros...no, no...nothing like Beamon' Demon...I promise! They are required for the mystery cache I put out. That's all I'm gonna say about the mystery cache other than it requires some bushwacking. links will work when caches are approved.

My first reaction is to do a little jig of happiness -- new EGH caches!!!!

Then I stop and wonder, "what does he mean by some bushwhacking?"

Headlama's box I did the other day sort of inspired me to put out a box that'll be definitely an adventure to get to. So thus, the mystery one...the other two are standard drive by caches. So if you decide not to do the other one, you get two fairly quick points anyway. We need more adventure type caches. I'm tired of evil micros!

Yep, I mean just that...bushwacking. No easy way to this place. Some sections/areas are easier than others, but that's for you to figure out.

Checked my cache page and what!!!! My three new ones are already hit!!!! By Wired1. He's crazy!!! Congrats to him! Boy I didn't think anybody attempt that last cache in the dark with no information...just parking and cache coords and warning of bushwacking.

Posted (edited)

Wired1 wasn't the only one out doing some night time caching so was EGH, he visited my new cache Meeko & Pocahonta at 9:15 PM.

You guys are having way to much fun!!!

I would guess that's like a EGH saying it's a little rock scramble - triple your expectations.

I got it on Pot of Gold(something like that).

 /me beams with pride

Sorry to disappoint you, TravisL, but there's a new Pot O' Gold cache located in Seattle near the west side of the Evergreen bridge. Pepper and I did, however, compare stories of when we did that other Pot o' Gold cache.

Here's the new one: Arboretum Pot O' Gold by The Forecaster
