Looks like a good one to take the dogs out on.....they've been missing out lately on caching. Sounds like a good excuse to get them panting. I'll dig out a few ornaments to trade. Happy holidays to all. :D

Plus you are an honorary PBB member, so you're sorta obligated to go..... :D

I decided to fiddle around with the Vista that I was goign to send in...got it working. All I did was to squeeze the unit a bit and that fixed the flickering bars. Still might mail it in for rubber seal, but no longer a rush or priority. Now maybe I'll find that damned Issy cache :-)

Ditto on what Cindy had to say about the Oh Tananbaum Cache big fun for Holiday Caching!

So far I have enjoyed all three of the Holiday Caches I'v hit and I'm ready for more holiday or not.

Issa Insanity is not gonna make me crazy I'm going back out this morning ready for a find. :D

Time to get back to the quilt making :D .

Hiya Pepper!  I noticed that you are closing in on 1000!  :o  Are you going to make it there by New Year's Day?

Cache on!

--Marky

Thqat damned Issy cache is bugging me! Second trip out for it and struck out mightily! Searched and searched for 1.5 hours...well just over that...7 pm to 840. Gave up and went on to the boock crossing cache in Redmond.

The cache is this one:

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...71-18527bc2b18e

I have a feeling that I'll be out there tomorrow, since Pepper and I will be driving by on our way to place a new cache. If we're still looking in a couple of weeks, we could take a big group out before/after the WSGA-PS Holiday Party.

Hmmm. There seems to be a pattern here a FOF cahce seems to pop up near the next WSGA meeting location.

Pepper, maybe you won't have to drive so far if you host the next meeting ;) .

MA your funny!

Well Cindy and I were back out in Issaaquah today and I am pleased to announce we found wp2!

That's as far as the good luck goes we were stopped in our tracks on the final.

You guys actually found waypoint 2??????? Could of sworn I searched every inch of ground last night and the night before.

:o The whole works has been found! ;)

Back to the drawing board :o

FOF PLEASE don't do use any Christmas favors.

We all have holiday chores and I find it difficult to get anything done with one of your caches hanging over my head!

I bet I get tomorrow!

Now I know I need to dig out the old Magellan Meridian Gold that's been ignored since May I understand the Gold got them within 1ft.

Today I think Cindy and I were off by about 20ft and we both had our Magellan Meridian Platinums.

Pepper and I placed another of our "On the Way" caches, this time near the "Oh Tananbaum" cache. If you're planning to hit that one this weekend, make sure you stop at ours on the way.

On the Way #4

Wouldn't it be odd if your 1000th was my 500th? I've been trying to get there before the OCM, but with 11 to go over two holiday filled weeks, the odds are slipping.

Posted

Yeah I was kinda hoping to hit 500 for my one year aniversary. I don't think that's going to happen either. If only the OCM was a week earlier.

Hey have you guys chacked out all the new TB features? Pretty cool! The caches now have a TB history.

I must say I DO NOT know where the cache is I just have lots of confidence!!!!!!!

My Dear Pepper,

I see you found "Issy" as its been labled! ;) I suggest you hurry and get those chores caught up because I have good news and bad news for you. Because of my nature let me give you the bad news; while in the area dancing on your porch  I was also scouting my next hide. The good news; well you can let TNLNSL rest a bit because it will be within walking distance of your home! :o

Why you ask? Well let's say I didn't appreciate the the way you cluttered up Issy with cheer! Now how is your confidence?

At my worst,

FOF

Now don't blame me!

I can't help it if FOF lurks in the shadows watching what we say and how we search. We must be careful not to inspire more of this evil.

Oh MGTS please click your heals 3 times and wish us home.

It looks like everyone is getting close to a milestone. I have 11 to go for #300. I really would like to do it before the OCM.

Jeff and I are planning to hit some milestones on Christmas Day -- 400 for me, and 200 for him.  :D

Cin

What cache are you gonna choose? I think it's cool that both of you get to enjoy milestones the same day :-)

We haven't decided yet. It sort of depends on how close we are after this weekend (we may need to find 7 quick ones, or we might be able to do one special one). We just figure that it will be a great present for us. :D

I'm also hoping to get out to a San Juan island while Jeff and I are both on vacation. There are new caches on Whidbey, and some cool ones in other ferry-accessible spots. That will all be about the weather, though -- pick a pretty day to spend caching in the San Juans.

Anyone else have fun holiday caching planned?

Cin

I do, I do!

The twins and I went South today on a marathon caching adventure. We came home with 18 finds under our belts with only one DNF.

We hooked up with Kitelady about half way thru our day and hit it some more.

Anyway I left myself with two left to play with just in case something was to pop up around home. :D

Our (The WHOLE family) holiday plan is to hit 1000 in Leavenworth. I want to find the one that stumped me last year, play in the snow, eat German food see the lights and come home with dead dog tired children!

Now that's a plan.

I'm tired and I've got caches to log.

Well I threw my back out this past week so I'm on the road to recovery so that I can be ready for the OCM. I'm also outfitting my jeep with a hybrid setup of a Magellan cradle and RAM mounting system in preparation for the quick in and out and maintain battery strength as much as possible with the snap-on power capability of the Magellan cradle.

Hey Pepper, looks like you are going to go over the 1K mark this week and we just wanted to say congrats in advance. We are down in your old stomping grounds for the holiday and did one of your old ones today to start the week with the grandkids with. Went out and found Supergenius #12-You've GotMail for a short little hike in the mud with the kids. Had a great time and went after another out that way before the kids wore out and wanted to come home and hit the computers.

See you guys in Oly.

We're all busy I guess...Christmas, etc. Well, I've been caching! Went out to Ole Tanabaum and Pepper's cache just before that. Missed Hazard and MTB though...shoot!

Of course... maybe I'm saying something wrong too when it happens. :D Hmmm... hadn't put much thought to it before... ;):D

Oh Grandpa you are being paraniod!

Myself I've been very busy finishing up the GEO Quilts for the WSGA Holiday Party and CACHING.

The twins and I went out yesterday and did three which got us up to 999 which was all we could do and had to bring it on home.

The husband let me know and firmly that when we left for Leavenworth Christmas Eve morning I'd better just have one to go for 1000#.

He's not near as excited as I am about this milestone but at least he's willing to participate in it with me.

That’s a mircial in it’s self the WHOLE family out on a cache with ME!!!!! Will the fun ever end?

Merry Christmas Grandma and Grandpa enjoy those grandkids.

Looking forward to seeing you at the OCM.

:) *snicker*

Even I was able to find Der Cache III (in 91°F temperatures). I think the snow might actually make this one easier. Maybe.

Feel free to call if you need a hint :)

I'll have to try those caches sometime. Hardly make it to Leavenworth though. Donna and I were pretty close when she and I did my 1000th Cache at Valhalla, but we were a few miles short and had a DNF at a roadside cache in the dark. Can't remember the cache's name, but htre cache is hid in or around a large rock.

Posted (edited)

I'm home, I had an awesome time, I'm pooped and have lots to do.

Oh and I am now a four digit cacher.

I have not even logged the cache yet I will do that tomorrow.

Ok guys go ahead and give me a hard time about not finding the cache last year see if I care.

I found it this time all by myself and yes I did have to dig out about two feet of really really cold snow.

Utill tomorrow y'all!

Oh dear, it's my turn to start fretting over a FiendorFoe cache. This one's at the top of my "nearest caches" page.

1,2,3... ...GO!

I hope you're all having a wonderful holiday. Jeff and I are cozy in front of the tree, wondering if we really want to out caching today....

Cin

(who's confident that she'll be finishing up the last FoF cache at the Holiday Party)
