+CachinCin
I'm looking forward to the weekend and planning on doing some catch-up caching, getting some nearby ones that I haven't hit yet. All this rain and wind has slowed me down a bit -- time to get outside again! Cin Quote Link to comment
+evergreenhiker!
yeah, I'm off to my Cherry Cache tomorrow. Escorting LuckyKatz and Cache Ahead. I guess they both tried hunting for it and couldnt' find it so I'll make sure that they get it this time. Now, K7s micro is bugging hte hell out of me....two full shots at it and nothing so far. probably give it a look again on sunday. Busy tomorrow with Cherry Cache, etc. Also Genetics cache...this time I'll get it or bust. Probably sunday. Quote Link to comment
lucyandrickie
Hi Kite Lady It's always fun to see you. We don't do that enough. Maybe we should start making play dates where we come down to see you or you up to see us? Anyway, glad to see ya on the forums! Lucy Quote Link to comment
+CachinCin
Jeff and I hit Flyindog's River Walk Holiday Exchange today. It's a fun cache with a nice holiday theme. I wanted to give a heads-up to any night-cachers out there -- this would be a great one. You'd be treated to many holiday lights along the path and near the final cache location. +hydnsek
Now to the big question...does anyone have any idea where the Christmas party will be this year so we can all get in on the chance to win one of these things? Is any one working on it? We didn't make the Christmas party last year, we were out of town and don't know who put it on. If no one else is working on finding a place, I'll take it on. Lucy I'm working on it. Hopefully, we'll be able to get the same place (the community center in Issaquah), but if anyone has alternative suggestions please let me know. We need a facility where we can bring food, have fun, and raffle off those quilts. Cin So, any update on the WSGA holiday party? I might miss it because I haven't seen anything, but when I dropped a bandana off at Pepper's house today, her husband said: "She's out getting her nails done for the geocaching holiday party tonight at Seth!'s house." What?! I came home and hunted all over geocaching.com, WSGA site, my weekly cache notifications, and this forum, but nada except this note from Cachincin. Still being kinda new to the area, I was psyched to have a party to go to and see some caching buddies! Hope everyone had fun! hydnsek Quote Link to comment
+CachinCin
The WSGA holiday party is between Christmas and New Year's, so you haven't missed it. I'm still trying to figure out what the place is that we used last year -- it's not the Issaquah Community Center, like I thought (that's a much larger building, which costs money to reserve). We used a room that was next to the fire station. Does anyone have any ideas what this might be? Anyone remember who set this up for us last year? If I can't figure it out, I'll drive over to Issaquah on Monday and just try to figure out where we were and how to reserve the place. Cin Quote Link to comment

There is a Christmas function in the making. Seth! and his wife Erin had their friends over and a few geocahcing buddies from way, way, way back when. It wasn't a geocaching occassion per say. But we did enjoy the company of others. They were very hospitable. I do wonder though what the other guests thought about the few clowns in the kitchen talking..... something about GPS stuff! We will have our geocachers only party. Hopefully Seth! and Erin will come. BTW. Peppers nails really did look great! Edited December 9, 2003 by Wienerdog Quote Link to comment

Just - where would I leave it for you to retrieve? I'm over in Port Townsend... Good question. I have a friend driving up from Portland on Friday to visit me. If you could find an EASY cache not too far from I-5 to put it in, I could maybe have him pick it up. He's not a cacher, so 'easy' is definitely the key. However, is this even feasible? I definitely won't get anywhere close to you before I leave next week. MA, I emailed you a reply for your bug. lucyandrickie
Noogie Chairperson Lucy, Does one of Pepper's pieces of art go along with the noogie? FOF FOF, Pepper would hunt me down and give me triple extra noogies if I were to go around promising quilts. I went to see her today and she was kind enough to give me some of her chicken and dumplings to take home so Rickie wouldn't starve. We're talking some serious stuff here. Made the true way (southern to ya'll) it does not have carrots or peas involved. As I was driving and trying to keep the pot from spilling over, I just couldn't help but noticing all the tail gaters behind me. Was the aroma wafting through my windows? Or did Pepper make it a moving cache? I thought I recognized Shelle riding too close to my bumper. Quote Link to comment
+runhills
Well since you were traveling mid-day, it is unlikely that the tailgaters were headed for a FTF which seem to be found in the very early or late hours! Tell rickie I am jealous! Quote Link to comment
lucyandrickie
Yeah, you should be jealous I don't know that Rickie will get any of this. +CachinCin
Pepper and I were amazed to get a FTF on a special cache this morning: Oh Tananbaum, by Dreamer What a fun caching experience this was -- bit of a hike, lots of switchbacks, splashing through streams and mudpuddles, and a box full of ornaments for the Charlie Brown tree at the end. I'm sure Pepper will chime in soon to tell you all to go out and give this one a try. Aurie gives it a big paws-up for dogs, too. If you go, be prepared to splash through some water, climb over a few fallen logs, and go up about 600 feet in elevation (with a 2-mile round trip hike). Also, read the first of the two hints for information on finding your way to the trail. I think I need a nap, Cin P.S. We placed a Peanut Butter Brigade sticker in the logbook, so we're hoping more PBB members will head up there soon. Quote Link to comment
