I don't believe that it has anything to do with data mining. The stats are entered voluntarily, and the data for the sig image is pulled from keenpeople.com. +CachinCin Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 Geez -- I really, really hate it when the discussion board posts duplicates, and then I go to erase and yet another one is posted.... So this isn't a complete waste of all of your time, let me say that I'm totally bummed I can't be at Tuesday's fun pizza bash/meeting. I won't be at a WSGA meeting until December. +CachinCin Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 Hello from Wonderful Wyoming! I'm visiting my family this week...and, of course, getting in some geocaching at the same time. There's only one in town -- the rest are drives with hikes, up in the mountains. All are beautiful spots, but dang...after living at sea level for a while, my high altitude lungs are gone. I get out of breath walking up the stairs at my parents' house (which, by the way, is at 7514 feet, according to my GPS). Anyway, just wanted to say hello. I'll let you know when I've hiked up to some of the boulder fields with my siblings (and their various Magellans and Garmins) -- should be some beautiful pictures. Cin Quote
+CachinCin Posted October 24, 2003 Posted October 24, 2003 I was catching up on Seattle area news, and I see that tonight there's a great chance of seeing a good Northern Lights display...plus a meteor shower...all on a new moon night. Best viewing around midnight, from the Cascades or a hilltop above the fog. http://www.komotv.com/stories/27931.htm If I were there, I'd be dragging Jeff up a hill for some geocaching and skygazing. Cin P.S. I also see that they're asking hikers to report washed out trails and bridges in the backcountry. (http://www.komotv.com/stories/27929.htm) Quote
