However been very new to this we were out at the weekend and we have picked up a TB and a trackable but do not know what to do next. Click here. > https://www.geocaching.com/track/default.aspx How to Log a Travel Bug > https://www.geocaching.com/track/howto.aspx Trackables have 2 numbers, a Public Referance Number TB***** (or GC***** for Geocoins) that can be used to refer to the trackable. The other, on the trackables tag is a 'secret' number that should not be shown in photos, or used in public logs/forums. Photgraphs of the travellers and their journey are ALWAYS welcome by it's owner! Photos and tales of travels need to be on the TBs page, and not the cache page. (The two are not linked, so anything on the cache page doesn't show on the TBs page. Quote Link to comment

I have what I thought was a TB but starts with a GC so I am assuming this is a Geocoin which says it is in a race however when I try and log this it says it does not exist, any ideas? +Bear and Ragged Posted May 10, 2016 Share Posted May 10, 2016 (edited) Enter the GC code here > https://www.geocaching.com/track/travelbug.aspx If it's not recognised, there are two possibities... 1 - the usual problem, you are reading 1 or l (One or L), O or 0 (Oh or zero) etc,. Others are 2/z 8/B and so on. (Most of us have done it, at one time or another! ) The other option is the owner hasn't activated it... Is it/did it show as being IN the cache, on the cache page? If so, it HAS been activated. (So it's a 0/O, 1/l problem!) That's all providing it has "Trackable at Groundspeak/Geocaching" on it, if not, it ISN'T a Groundspeak trackable.
