Tide Tables

I have a Oregon 450. Is there any where you can get more tide tables then what is already downloaded on the GPS. Specifically I would like a tide table closer to Mulege in Baja California. Thanks, Jack

Just thinking out loud.

 

Tides tables could possibly be generated base on the current location you are at?

 

Sort of like the sunrise/sunset based on your present location.

 

Now, I could be be totally wrong but it does make sense.

 

Or you could contact Garmin and ask them the question.

On my Montana I just go to Where To and page down to Tides and will list the nearest tide points for about 100 miles (don't know if that is a list or distance limit). So I guess if you go there it will work.

Do you have a Garmin TOPO map of the area? I have a 550T, but its TOPO is only for the continental US, so there are no tide stations shown in Baja California. But I've read that Garmin's TOPO maps have tide stations, and that "Bluechart" provides more. The Oregon and others have "Tide Station" icons (a T in a diamond), and you pick the one closest to the desired place.

 

I can't find a reference to free map downloads that have tide stations. So you might have to find out exactly what you need by contacting Garmin.

Thanks guys. I was wondering if there was someplace to download more tide tables. The nearest one to the location I want is several hundred Km away, I'm not sure how accurate that would be.
