+Team Microdot
The other day I looked at one of my logs that included HTML code and while I was looking at it (or maybe after I clicked the EDIT button) a banner magically appeared which stated that it looked like my log included HTML and offered to convert it to valid markdown code for me I hit the button to initiate the auto-conversion and it happened - and did an excellent job. I was very happy Today, on some other of my logs which included HTML, I don't seem able to make that happen. I'm now a bit sad Am I doing something wrong? Quote Link to comment
HiddenGnome
Hi Team Microdot! I'm glad that you were able to use the conversion tool to such success. Would you mind providing an example of one or more logs that you had expected to be able to convert? Quote Link to comment

Hans Ah - with URL being BB code presumably? And auto-correct doesn't catch that? In fact, looking at the log, the seems to have just been removed Quote Link to comment
+Team Microdot
This one uses and has been correctly detected by the auto converter - http://coord.info/GLK2KXT2 Quote Link to comment
+HHL
This one uses and has been correctly detected by the auto converter - http://coord.info/GLK2KXT2 Yes, that bbcode is not just plain [ url]...[ /url] code. It contains a header. That way it has a different structure. And the header seems to be important in GS's Markdown. Hans Edited February 19, 2016 by HHL Quote Link to comment

+AnnaMoritz
Certainly - here's one - http://coord.info/GL7YJZHE Pure Linktext followed by http:// + address was supported and displayed as Linktext followed by clickable (visit link). Is it possible that (only) this log had no http:// before conversion? Edit: Converting Linktextoudiseofurl is (now) not supported by the converter, [url= etc. is indeed simply removed. Then it is up to you to put [ ] around linktext and insert ( without space after ] followed by http:// ... and then insert the closing ). Edit: While it seems reasonable that a converter can't know which word(s) outside the [url.. might be what you want to see highlighted as link it could keep the clickable link by inserting [visit link] before the converted (http:// .. ) as they don't support links for simple (http:// ..) without any form of title. Well, I also don't understand why test1 <> (that some use for 'not a certain value' or larger sequences like <<<>>> that some use for decoration) is shown as test1 <a href="" target="_blank"></a> Edited February 20, 2016 by AnnaMoritz Quote Link to comment
+bau-ch
Today a link in a log, made with the link-button, converts <a href="openstreetmap.org" target="_blank">openstreetmap.org</a> wrong to <a href="openstreetmap.org" rel="nofollow">openstreetmap.org</a> no chance to include a link into a log??? +AnnaMoritz
Try http://openstreetmap.org as link. Without http:// links don't seem to work. Quote Link to comment
