Hi, mods, feel free to move this to the right forum.

I found a cache in Graham Creek Nature Preserve in Foley, AL that needs attention. The logbook is in the housing for a pump and is exposed to the elements. It was soaking wet when I found it. I did not have GPS with me to log coordinates, found by accident.\

Lesson learned: trying to post a reply while a thread is being moved wipes out your reply, and you have to start over.

Normally, one would post a "Needs Maintenance" log along with the "found it" log.

Help Center → Finding a Geocache → Logging a Geocache

4.2. What log type should I use?

There seem to be a limited number of caches in the Graham Creek Nature Preserve, and the majority are owned by "grahamcreekpreserve" Perhaps contacting them is the best option.

You could check the geocaching.com map, and see if one of those caches matches the location of the one you found.

Or maybe you found an archived cache.

Sounds like it might be this cache, but I can't be sure. One of the recent logs mentions a water pump.

No other recent logs mention that it had issues, but that could have happened between yesterday and today.

Here's a list of all caches near the preserve, and here's a map view centered on the preserve.

I recommend you look at the map, the cache descriptions and recent logs, and the photos in the cache logs, determine which cache you found, and both log a find on the cache and leave a "needs maintenance" log to alert the cache owner.

edit: the post was moved before I had a chance to reply, so I was a little late to respond.
