automate logging

Is there any way to automatically update the geocache site from your GPS. I have a number of finds on my GPS and would like to be able to update without having to manually log each entry. Thanks

I don't know a way to do it directly but you can potentially upload your field notes from your GPS to geocaching.com, but you will still need to enter the logs, but this gives you a handy list to work from. Then:

Upload Field Notes from a handheld GPS device

 

After a day of geocaching with your supported handheld device, return home and upload your geocache finds directly to the website.

Field Notes are totally the way to go. You'll still need to type up your experience at each cache (which is an important part of the process), but it helps prevent you from logging the wrong caches. I would never want to see a totally-automated process, because cache owners wouldn't hear about each finder's experience.

Of course we are not told what GPS Justahunter has and we must remember not every make or model of GPS has geocaching field note capabilities before we make that our default suggestion.

 

Should your unit be compatible then it is the solution for automated logging, otherwise it's still a manual process.
