Partschinser GuN-Event

Hi Guys,

 

even in 2016 there will be a nice, small Event in South Tyrol, Italy. The second Edition of the Partschinser GuN-Event (GuN stays for Geschichte und Natur which means History, Nature and Tradition). From friday 15th of July to Sunday 17th of July. However, the contents and the location this year are a completely different. (The event will be published by the end of January)

 

The event lasts from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and will take place at 1839 meters above sea level on Partschinser Sonnenberg on or around the shelter Hochganghaus

 

Contents of this year's event are roughly the following:

- 1 common hike to the famous and very popular Spronser Lakes Plateau (on Saturday)

- 1 common sunrise hike to the great Rötelspitze on 2.625m (on Sunday), accompanied by the junior boss Elisabeth from Schutzhaus Hochgang

- Alternatively, for those who do not want to Rötelspitze there is a sunrise hike to the "Hohe Wiege" on the "Meraner Höhenweg".

- 1-2 meals of traditional cuisine (Schwarzplentenen Riebel and / or traditional Muas)

- 1 common campfire with a matching presentation on Location

 

Unlike the first event, the participants this time must arrange the catering and the accommodation itself.

Is already organized, that we can stay directly at the shelter with our tents. The tents can be brought by railway (of the private funicular).

However, if you'd rather prefer a room, you can book it directly at the shelter.

The Meal is also no problem, Hochganghaus offers very good traditional cuisine at the shelter.

The participation in the event and especially the walks happens at your own risk. It will not be a hiking guide, so everyone is responsible for his own actions.

Further details on the event are still decided and will be published soon.

 

Do not worry, it is not a pure mountain event. If you want, you just have to reach the Hochganghaus and you can look forward to a very interesting event. There will be in addition to the specified hikes to the lakes or the Rötelspitze Spronser or Hohe Wiege a lot more of residual program. We will cook among others together with the team of the shelter Hochgang, entertainment for young and old even with a nice presentation/lecture, experience to match the location.

 

The Hochganghaus you can reach it as follows:

1. In about 1.5 hours, and 300 meters of sea level from the Leiter Alm

2. In about 2.5 hours, and 500 meters of sea level from Vellau or

3. in about 3.5 hours and 1100 meters of sea level from Partschins

 

On all the roads you will find the one or the other geocache. In addition, it is guaranteed that for the event there will be some new one`s too.

Looks like a great event, sadly I'm in the UK and doubt I will have time to travel to Italy this year (I have found only one cache in Italy).
