+kentlrda
I have property in the Cayman Islands and have found a number of Benchmarks around the area of my property. Is there a way to report these benchmarks (and their coordinates)since they are outside of the U.S.? Thank You. Quote Link to comment
+T.D.M.22
I have property in the Cayman Islands and have found a number of Benchmarks around the area of my property. Is there a way to report these benchmarks (and their coordinates)since they are outside of the U.S.? Thank You. The general answer is it depends. Benchmarking is American survey markers, and would only be found in the USA (though I think there is one just on the Canadian side of the border.) There are other similar things on the geocaching side. I Canada the is a (grandfathered) virtual cache that moves. The location is always a brass cap. There is a similar cache by the same CO in the UK. I'm pretty sure he's not the only one who's done this, so your only option is if there is a similar cache. Quote Link to comment
+Gungadoy
These are the benchmarks in the Caymans that are in the NGS database that can be reported to the NGS. NGS Link AB9495, AB9496 and AB9261 are inactive/destroyed. Unfortunately, none of these displayed BM's are near your new Geocache on Little Cayman Island. How's the bonefishing? kayakbird
Also a fair number associated with the Canadian Border. Do a 'Medicine Line' word search in the forum threads here. kayakbird Quote Link to comment
