The 2015 coin features an Eagle on both sides in full color enamel fill and was created with three different metal finishes; shiny gold, shiny silver, and black nickel. The designs were created by Chris Mackey. Each trackable 2-inch coin is paired with a trackable anodized aluminum proxy coin, so you can retain the original coin safely in your collection and release the proxy coin to travel. GeocacheAlaska! Inc. is the non-profit geocaching organization in the state of Alaska. We strive to promote geocaching throughout the Last Frontier with education, land manager advocacy, and geocaching event sponsorship. They are trackable of geocaching.com and have a custom 2015 icon: The geocoins are priced at $17 each and $47 for the set of three. +Ladybug Kids Posted January 5, 2016 Share Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Forgot to include in my post that the total mintage is 500, 1/3 silver, 1/3 gold, 1/3 black nickel. 500 isn't divisible by three, but I don't know which of the three finishes was cast only 166 times.
