+Mineral2
What dates? Dates of the past logs? I'm pretty sure that's written into the GPX file on Groundspeak's end and nothing to do with settings on the GPS. https://www.geocaching.com/account/settings/preferences Go there and set your date format. It may or may not transfer to the writing of the gpx file. Edited December 30, 2015 by mineral2 Quote Link to comment
+GeoTrekker26
Dates in the GPX file are formatted per the ISO 8601 standard, YYYY-MM-DD. How they are displayed is device dependent which may or may not allow the user to select a format. Quote Link to comment
+Mineral2
yeah, I just tested it out with my Garmin and changing the date format with my link above does not change the way it is displayed on the device. And there's no date format option in the device settings, so you're stuck with the American date format. At least this is a cosmetic preference and doesn't actually affect the way your GPS performs.
