+K13 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 I've now seen woof! twice on log entries on my cache and I can't find its meaning. Help. I have heard some Reviewers are dogs.....some cachers are dogs as well. Did you look at the avatar of each of those cachers? You may find your answer there. Quote
+niraD Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 I've been known to write "Woof!" on behalf of canine family members. Quote
+NorthernOffroaders Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 I thought that but it was two logs in a row lol. Maybe it was just a coincidence. Quote
+NorthernOffroaders Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 I check avatars. Both dogs. Also from the same town. So that's why there was two in a row. Lol Quote
+boothie103 Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 Woof is the sound made by pet Murray Cod eating a shrimp dropped into his tank, or is boof? Quote
+AustinMN Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 I stumbled into a thread (on another site) where people had gotten into a contest on different ways to spell "meow." So I posted the obvious thing: "Woof!" I did not stay around to find out what happened after that. Quote

I guess we've abandoned that theory? Quote

+hzoi Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 I've now seen woof! twice on log entries on my cache and I can't find its meaning. Help. Well, let's take a look at the galleries for the two cachers in question. GeoHuntin' Jake: Caption: "GeoHuntin' Jake. I'm the creamy furry guy." Halfway Tim: in addition to the same photo as GeoHuntin' Jake, which he captioned "Me on the left, in front," there's this photo: Caption: "Me, having a snooze..." So, I'm going to go with, they logged "Woof!" because they are dogs. Quote
+AustinMN Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 So, I'm going to go with, they logged "Woof!" because they are dogs. I think those are both just sock puppets (or is it dog puppets?) for the cat. No self-respecting cat would ever publicly admit to looking for tupperware in the woods, though they just might use it as an excuse for new places to hunt for mice. Quote
+NorthernOffroaders Posted December 23, 2015 Author Posted December 23, 2015 Lol. I found a ton of acronyms. Just none that seemed 100% likely. I mean. Who signs... Well off old fart?! Besides maybe a dog? lol Quote

Cascade Reviewer Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 This thread has to do with geocaching, so I'm moving it to Geocaching Topics. Woof. Quote
+J Grouchy Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 You sure it's not just people trying to type "woot!" and their phones are auto-correcting them too "woof!"...? Quote
