problems downloading Geocaches to Etrek 10

I am trying to download Geocaches to my GPS (an Etrek 10). For whatever reason, the Geocaches will not download to my GPS. This is the furthest I gotten.

1 put the GPS into mass storage

2 click on send to GPS button

3 click on write

If i do not put my GPS into mass storage the gpx file will not load running 62s

There have been numerous threads about problems using the communicator, with some Solutions offered. If the method identified in the link does not work for you, there are other threads that might help. But it's also useful to learn how to save the gpx file directly to the garmin/gpx folder - either as a single file with the gpx button or as a pocket query - since the technology underlying the communicator has serious issues .

Thank you. I was able to download a geocache. Hopefully it will fix the problem for good
