I'm currently unable to upload/compile ANY cartridges. Maybe a reboot is needed for the Wherigo.com server?

Yes, we had this problem before. A reboot solved the problem. You could write to Groundspeak to report the problem or wait until RangerFox do this.

I sent a message to get them to restart the server. They've been responsive from previous experiences, so it shouldn't take too long.

I sent an email to the person who handles outages during the weekends. The site will be operational in about twenty minutes.

 

(It would help if I read email instead of playing a game all day. I should give out my direct contact information so someone can notify me so I can send that email.)

And there we go. I finished uploading my cartridge and verified the site was up, then wrote a forum post for what I was working on.

I sent the usual email. This is the one thing on which I've had a good response time from them. Expect it up in fifteen minutes.

I don't know if I'm posting in the correct forum. The reason I'm posting here is that I get the same error when trying to download any cartridge.

Sorry for the delay, everyone. charlenni sent me an email yesterday morning regarding this. I was on a flight from Reno to Dallas and didn't see the message until I checked as I was boarding my connecting flight. As soon as I saw the email, I sent a message to the right person at Groundspeak to kick the server again. Right after that, I had to turn the phone off for the flight.

 

Over the next couple days, I'll try to get in touch with Groundspeak to see what's going on and why this issue has returned. I was hoping to see how long it would take for Groundspeak to get back with me regarding the Wherigo Foundation partnership, but I guess I'll have to end the experiment and see what's going on with their server.

To summarize my post on that thread, I'm trying to create an application that will monitor when the site has this specific error and email Groundspeak and myself when it detects it. I will post on the other thread when I've gotten the application up and running.
